2015 Spring Concert


On Saturday, April 25th, at 7:30pm in the Bedford Middle School Auditorium, the Bedford Community Orchestra will present a variety of “River and Outdoor” themed music to celebrate the land and beauty of Bedford and Virginia.

Music will include Henry Mancini’s timeless piece Moon River from the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The American River with George Gershwin’s Swannee, Shenandoah, and Stephen Foster’s Old Folks at Home, and River Songs by Douglas Wagner with the memorable pieces Deep River and Shall We Gather at the River.

In celebratation of Bedford’s natural landscape, the orchestra will also present Aaron Copland’s Outdoor Overture, and the jazz standard Autumn Leaves.

For the younger audience, the orchestra will feature music from the popular video game “World of Warcraft” and from Disney’s hit movie FROZEN!

The BCO will also perform Balladette and China Doll by Leroy Anderson, and Erik Satie’s famous Three Gymnopedies.

Bring the entire family to enjoy an evening with the BCO as they take on a musical adventure through American rivers, the great outdoors, and the excitement of Frozen and the video game world!
